Welcome CAHA's new CEO: Michelle Isles!

Wednesday 13 March 2024

The Board of the Climate and Health Alliance (CAHA) is delighted to announce that Michelle Isles has accepted the position of CEO of CAHA, and will commence on 18 March 2024. Working at the nexus of climate action, health and wellbeing in a career spanning 20 years across the Asia-Pacific region, Michelle has coached health organisations, advised health boards on climate risk and led innovation within health and other essential service organisations. Michelle served on the Board of CAHA throughout 2023, and met many of our members in person and online at CAHA's 2023 Greening the Healthcare System Forum.

Michelle says she is looking forward to providing leadership for CAHA, so that it may continue to advocate for the health of all people living in Australia to be safeguarded in the face of the climate crisis, amplify the voice of healthcare professionals in CAHA's advocacy for urgent climate action, and provide the health sector with the resources needed to build resilience and sustainable practices.

After a short period of overlap with Michelle, the interim CEO Philip Cornish will finish on 26 March. The Board thanks Philip for his leadership and appreciates his continued contribution as a CAHA member.
