CAHA calls on negotiators around the world to push for the inclusion of fossil fuel phase out in this year's text to protect human health and save lives.

CAHA Policy & Advocacy Manager Chelsea Hunnisett:

"The news over night that a fossil fuel "phase out" has been dropped from the draft text at COP28 is extremely disappointing.

"Without a global commitment to phasing out fossil fuels, we are allowing the health effects of climate change to worsen.

"We don't have any time to lose. We are calling on negotiators to hold firm on phasing out fossil fuels for the health and wellbeing of current and future generations."
