Pre-budget submission: Healthy, climate-resilient communities, and a sustainable, resilient, high- quality, net zero health system

Broader investment is needed to realise a net zero Australian health system that is resilient to the shocks and stressors of climate change.
In collaboration with our members and allies, CAHA has developed its 2026-27 Pre-Budget Submission to provide the Federal Government with guidance on how this year's Budget can better support climate and health outcomes.
We have presented three priority areas with tangible asks which need urgent focus :
1. Health system resilience and decarbonation
2. Health in all policies to achieve climate outcomes
3. End fossil fuel subsidies to protect health from health from pollution and climate change
