Monday 22 May 2017

The American Psychological Association, Climate for Health, and ecoAmerica highlight the mental health consequences of climate change in their March 2017 report, "Mental Health and Our Changing Climate: Impacts, Implications, and Guidance".

The report describes impacts of climate change on mental health at the individual, community and society levels, and discusses mechanisms for addressing these challenges. Authors note that mental health issues are often overlooked in the context of climate change. Their report is directed to health and medical professionals, community and elected leaders, and the public, all of whom can build capacity to support those at risk.
