On the frontline: Australia’s Flagship Climate and Health Summit to build sustainable and resilient communities
Yugambeh/Kombumerri Country, Griffith University, Gold Coast, Queensland
The Climate and Health Alliance (CAHA) is proud to announce The Climate + Health Summit 2025, taking place on Yugambeh/Kombumerri Country, Gold Coast, from 26–28 October 2025.
CAHA’s annual flagship event returns for 2025 with an expanded scope! While continuing to spotlight and progress sustainable healthcare transformation, this year’s event will delve further into public health challenges in a worsening climate crisis and opportunities for policy reform and action.
This summit comes at a time when the impacts of climate change are being felt acutely across Queensland and the Pacific region, providing an opportunity to confront the urgent intersection of climate, health and equity. Bringing together health professionals, policy-makers, academics and sustainability leaders, this national Summit aims to accelerate action towards more climate-resilient, sustainable health systems and drive ambitious, health-promoting climate policy at all levels.
The 2025 Summit marks 15 years of CAHA’s leadership, advocacy, and innovation at the intersection of climate and health. The Summit will bring together wisdom gathered and look forward, providing an important moment for Australia and the Pacific to shape the health agenda for global climate negotiations at COP31.
“Climate change is the greatest threat to health we face – and also our greatest opportunity to reimagine a health ecosystem that heals both people and the planet,” said Michelle Isles, CEO of CAHA. “The Summit is about connection, courage, and shaping practical solutions together.”
