The most recent Lancet Countdown policy brief for Australia has pointed to CAHA's Framework for a National Strategy on Climate, Health and Well-being as a key recommendation for Australian policymakers to adopt in order to respond to climate change and its impact on health.

Among other recommendations to expedite the transition from fossil fuels and advance heat hazard reduction strategies, the policy brief recommends that Australia should "develop a national climate change and health strategy. This strategy should build on the framework developed by the health sector to coordinate action on mitigation and adaptation at all levels of Australian government."
