CAHA at COP25: Climate-health delegation attends UN climate talks

Climate and Health Alliance is proud to announce its' 2019 delegation to UNFCCC COP25 in Madrid, Spain, to advocate for health in the global climate negotiations.

 

Our delegation includes:

  • Ingrid Johnston, Senior Policy Officer at the Public Health Association of Australia
  • Rashmi Venkatraman, Doctor of Public Health Candidate at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
  • Milly Burgess, Operations and Projects Support Officer at the Climate and Health Alliance

 

Ingrid Johnston

In Madrid 5-15 December

Ingrid is a Director of the Climate and Health Alliance and Senior Policy Officer at the Public Health Association of Australia. After many years viewing the social determinants of health through the prism of prison health, Ingrid completed her PhD on responses to extreme weather events and disasters in the Pacific, and how they will need to adapt as the climate changes.

 

Rashmi Venkatraman

In Madrid 6-15 December

Rashmi is a global health professional, with experience working in primary health care, international public health and not for profit sectors. Rashmi has a Bachelors of BioMedical Sciences and a Masters in International Public Health. She is based in London and is currently a Doctor of Public Health Candidate at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. 

 

Milly Burgess

In Madrid 1-8 December

Milly is the Operations and Projects Support Officer at the Climate and Health Alliance. Milly is currently completing a Master of Environment at the University of Melbourne and has previously graduated with a Bachelor of Psychological Science (First Class Honours) at the University of Queensland.
