The Climate and Health Alliance welcomes ongoing support from volunteers. We require help with many aspects of our work, from updating the website, undertaking research, writing grant applications, or preparing our newsletter. CAHA has several opportunities available for volunteers wishing to make a contribution in protecting and promoting health.


Got an eye for detail? Want to help keep our contact lists up to date? CAHA needs someone to help update our email distribution lists so we keeping decision-makers and leaders up to date on climate and health matters. Time required: 2-4 hours/week. If you are willing to help, please contact CAHA Convenor Fiona Armstrong using the details below.


Can you handle Word? If so, you almost certainly have the skills to help update our website to ensure it is a 'go-to' resource with lots of materials on climate and health. Responsibilities include uploading research papers, blog posts, images and video links to the CAHA website. Video tutorials available for support. Time required: 2-4 hours/week.


Communicating through social media is a vital way of reaching a diverse and large audience who are not accessing mainstream media on climate and health. Updating Facebook and communicating via @healthy_climate Twitter stream are important parts of CAHA's work to engage the public and media on conversations, research and news on climate and health matters. Time required: 2-4 hours/week.


CAHA is looking for people to undertake background research for, and draft, policy papers on each of its policy priorities. Topics range from energy to transport to built environment, biodiversity and education. Help shape the national policy agenda by further developing CAHA's positions on each of these issues. Like writing and editing? Would you like to contribute to and help coordinate the CAHA newsletter and/or a regular blog feed on climate and health matters? CAHA needs help with its blog and regular newsletter on climate and health issues. Newsletter responsibilities include: writing content for newsletter; sourcing images; loading content to email distribution program; and managing subscriptions. Blog responsibilities include: liaising with the CAHA Convenor; sourcing relevant articles; commissioning blog posts from selected authors; and posting to CAHA website. Time required: 8-10 hours/month.


Are you good with details? Would you like to help keep CAHA organised? Responsibilities include managing accounts, organising correspondence, filing, and general administration duties. This position is onsite in CAHA's offices in Fitzroy, Victoria. Time required: 2-4 hours/week.
