Events Volunteer (Currently on hold due to COVID-19)


  • Help to organise CAHA events throughout the year including the 10-year celebration, inaugural dinner, and symposium
  • Make arrangements for events, including booking venues/catering, collecting items for silent auction etc
  • Assist with reaching out/coordinating potential speakers/guests
  • Advertise events through Eventbrite/Nationbuilder pages, create social media graphics/posts, write short blurbs for newsletters
  • Create run sheets for event
  • Help manage on the day of event

Skills required:

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Independent worker able to take initiative
  • Prior experience organising events favourable

Fundraising Volunteer 1


  • Research other organisation’s monthly donor programs
  • Develop a brand for monthly donor program
  • Develop a communications plan around monthly donor program
  • Draft email to current donors to ask to become monthly donors
  • Call supporters to ask if they would like to be monthly donors
  • Assist with inaugural fundraising dinner

Skills required:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Feel confident making donation requests
  • Strategic thinker

Fundraising Volunteer 2


  • Identify sources of funds for CAHA programs and campaigns
  • Maintain a database of international and local donor organisations (international foundations, bilateral and multilateral agencies and private corporations)
  • Monitor donor websites and identify donor opportunities matching the work of CAHA
  • Assist in the development of concept notes, project proposals and ensure their timely submission

Skills required

  • Strong research and written communication skills
  • Highly organised
  • Strategic thinker
  • Independent worker that is able to take initiative

Website Volunteer


  • Updating web pages under the supervision of a staff member
  • Sourcing images and uploading them to web pages
  • Uploading and formatting content on web pages
  • General web administration e.g., check that hyperlinks work, removal of out-dated content

Skills required:

  • Independent worker that is able to take initiative
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Nationbuilder/web platform ideal
