Mental health forum: How are we coping with climate change?

Event moved online due to wild weather in Brisbane! All welcome.

Climate change is here now in Brisbane, along with the resulting mental health impacts. Communities have been hit by floods or fires, young people are increasingly alarmed about their future, yet the political inaction continues. How are we coping? How can we cope better?

We have an amazing panel of people from research, clinical and activism backgrounds:

  • A/ Prof Fiona Charlson, leading researcher from the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Researcher
  • Di Tucker, psychologist, neuropsychotherapist and climate activist from Brisbane
  • Declan and Layla, school strikers from Brisbane
  • Susanne Munkara, Indigenous Health researcher from the Tiwi Islands
  • Jess Pinder, conservation ecologist and policymaker

The forum is hosted by the Climate and Health Alliance, the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research and the Australian Psychological Society.
